The real test of our spiritual practice happens not on the cushion or in
the protected space of retreat, but moment-to-moment in daily life,
particularly when we find ourselves in uncomfortable situations –
how do we respond?

Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo explores this crucial question, offering down-toearth Buddhist methods known as Lojong or Mind Training; as workable tools for us to cultivate our hearts no matter what life presents us with.

*Proceeds raised from the weekend workshop will go to support
the Alliance of Non Himalayan Nuns*

Alliance of Non Himalayan Nuns (ANHN)
The Alliance of Non Himalayan Nuns (ANHN) is an international, non-sectarian organization founded in 2014 committed to supporting women ordained as Tibetan Buddhist nuns from outside traditional Tibetan Buddhist regions. Our aim is to raise awareness and give support to these nuns, in accord with the support given to their Himalayan dharma sisters, so they may swiftly become exemplary models of the monastic life well lived and thus bring greatest benefit to their local communities
across the world.

Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo was raised in London and became a Buddhist while still in her teens. At the age of twenty, she traveled to India, becoming one of the first Westerners to be ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist nun. Deeply concerned with the plight of Buddhist nuns, she established Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery in Northern India, at the request of her Guru, His Eminence the Eighth
Khamtrul Rinpoche.

In 2008 His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa, head of her Lineage, gave her the rare title of Jetsunma (Venerable Master). Jetsunma has written two books; Reflections on a Mountain Lake and Into the Heart of Life. The international bestseller “Cave in the Snow” chronicles her twelve years of seclusion in a remote cave in the Himalayas. Jetsunma is a renowned Buddhist teacher, popular
worldwide for her warm, clear and down-to-earth presentation of the Dharma and its application in daily life.
